Hannah's Story
Hannah Otos is a freelance editor with experience in documentaries, trailers, commercials, social media content, and marketing videos. Her most recent long term gig was editing spec-to-sale commercials, case studies, and UGC content for TBWA/Media Arts Lab, but prior to that, some notable credits include working as an assistant editor and doing the conform for the feature length documentary film Harley Flanagan Wired for Chaos, directed by Rex Miller, which premiered at Doc NYC in 2024, editing the trailer for Helen and the Bear, a feature length documentary directed by Alix Blair which was nominated for two IDA Documentary Awards, and assisting on Kyle Larson vs. The Double - a feature length documentary directed by Cynthia Hill, about Nascar driver Kyle Larson, which was released on Prime Video in 2026. Hannah also recorded on location sound and cut the trailer for "Crazy As A Loon", directed by Monica Raymund - a short proof of concept film for a narrative television series titled Committed, written by Lisa Cordileone - which screened at the OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival and other festivals in 2025.
Prior to her freelance career, Hannah worked as a multimedia specialist at Duke University where she coordinated, filmed, edited, and color-graded marketing videos and branded documentaries for the Sanford School of Public Policy. While in that position, Hannah ideated and co-produced, along with Carol Jackson, an award winning YouTube series, titled "20 Questions with Duke Sanford Leaders". Before her time at Duke, she worked as an assistant editor at MENTALiTY Creative - a creative advertising agency in Santa Barbara, CA, where she assisted editors on multiple campaigns for Hulu, HBO, and FX. She also cut a TV15 spot for a rerun of The Muppets Take Manhattan that aired on FX in 2022.
